Where did this thought come from:

This point specifically popped into my head while reading a Sci Fi book called Space Rogues. Once the idea popped into my head, I realized that quite often we see this in shows, movies, and books without thinking too much of it other than our enjoyment.

By hopping out of reality, you actually hop back into reality:

Each character in a show/movie/book has their own exaggerated personality. Like any good character, it’s taken to the extreme so the audience can fully interpret that character’s personal.

All the characters play exceptionally well off of each other & we enjoy them for this (we enjoy the comradery).

An example that many are familiar with would be Harry Potter – Hermoine, Harry, and Ron all have super different personalities and play well off of each other. They’re all accepting of who each other truly are. They don’t try to change each other. Instead they play off of each others characteristics/personality.

Though you can see this in plenty of other examples like The Office, Star Wars, Friends, The Avengers, and just about any TV show or movie. (Though I recommend not comparing it to a horror movie or one that many of the main characters perish often.)

What we should take away:

In real life, each person we come into contact with has a different personality. They’re a different character in this storyline of life. We should accept them for being different. In fact, their difference should be seen as beneficial – it should be sceen as adding spice to our life.

Info on the book that I’m currently reading:

The Sci Fi Book that popped these ideas in my head is called Space Rogues, written by my friend John Wilker. If you like fun action packed Sci Fi, I highly recommend picking up a copy of Space Rogues. https://johnwilker.com/
